A Colors

Bah: Themed mixes.
I woke up restless today, so I decided to post this early. I've had an intensely shitty week, but as always will refrain from getting personal. I hope you'll enjoy some of these tracks, as I've tried to go all over the board(although, I did cheat by using 3 huge songs from the onset of it all). I'll have a real mix up for Tuesday. These themed mixes seem to have more downloads than most of the others though. If it's what people prefer, then why not? Whatever. I miss a girl, a close family member died, my back hurts. on the bright side, (like a fortune cookie) new prospects on the horizon. All I can picture by saying that is a meager redneck kid standing on a forest ridge ala Where the Red Fern Grows. Anyway, what the fuck am I talking about? Colors? oh yeah.

The Honeysuckle Years

I feel like there are a lot of vibes going on with this mix. I guess I could say that about most of them, but I feel it more so on this one. I feel strongly about the songs though and hope that you'll enjoy them. I acquired some "lost soul cuts"(4 discs worth) and some of the tracks here are from those discs. Two of the tracks here, by The Dodos and Born Ruffians, made me want to make a Colors mix, so that will follow later this week. I'd like for this mix to get some circulation first before pumping out The Colors. 44 tracks is a good bit to take on all at once...

The Powers

Sorry again for the delay. It's been a decent enough few weeks for music acquisitions. Not too terribly much to report on this mix. I love the Metronomy remix and the way the synths sound on "European Gangsta". Danger is great. I dunno if that track is a live rip or a studio mix though. Hard to tell. The Reatard track is from one of his upcoming 7 inches for Matador. Not too much else to say really. Hope you enjoy it.
